"Do You Need a Green Card or Something?!"

So were the words that were uttered by Jazmin Biltmore when a handsome man started complimenting her on her beauty and her kickin' body! So when a man compliments you do you usually say things alluding to the man only saying those things because they are "conning" you? Well, for Jazmin Biltmore, played by the beautiful and talented Mo'Nique in the upcoming movie Phat Girlz so is the case. Due to the fact that we live in a society where bigger is not always seem as better, Jazmin is a bit jaded when it comes to men coming on to her. Although this woman exudes confidence which is clearly shown by her humor and her ability to win a "you so ugly" contest with another character in the movie, weight is always an issue on her mind..Thanks to society!

Although I have yet to see the movie I definitely plan on it and you should too...(it opens tonight!) Check out times here and get off your butt and bring yourself to a movie that is inspiring to all girls out there..Skinny or P.H.A.T (Pretty Hot and Thick)

Weight issues are something that I think Hollywood has dropped the ball on, they reach out to every other issue out there and stars bring these problems to light, but no matter how drastic the issue on weight loss and body image gets Hollywood continues to portray "skinny" as the norm. Don't let them fool you with the "Is Jessica Too Skinny" or "Nicole Gets Dangerously Thin" headlines on the popular mags, because as Hollywood gets skinnier, America believes they need to be skinner..And that just isn't the case.

The movie Phat Girlz has brought an issue to light that many directors and writers might have strayed from. I mean who wants to talk about an issue that logically makes sense, but isn't the popular idea?! I commend the writers, directors and actors in this film they have given hope and a voice to the majority of American Women..You know them, you see them everyday, you are them...THE NORMAL WOMAN!

Take a page from Paula Deen's cookbook tonight, eat some soul food and go out and see Phat Girlz! It's about time Hollywood opened their eyes and we as Americans should too!

Every Girl Deserves To Feel Good About Herself!

Oh...and if you are skinny you are beautiful too!! The ONLY way to be beautiful...is to love yourself!
